I will never forget the day that my dear friend, Nicole, told me that her family could not make the Spring Break trip to Sanibel Island that we had been planning. Just a few short weeks before that day, our families had experienced a blast in the High Country of North Carolina together. We had an action packed adventure of white water rafting, horse back riding, gem mining and zip lining. On this day, she had invited me to get a pedicure with her because she said that she needed to talk. She told me that they would not be able to travel with us on Spring Break in April...but she wanted me to guess, "Why?"....
Well, here is the answer...she was pregnant and would be having a baby around Spring Break time. Kelsey, the Littlest Rupe, had been the biggest surprise of her life! She could not be a more precious gift from God.
Who could have known when we were zip lining in the mountains, Nicole was barely pregnant with this little bundle of joy? I am in love with this girl, who could not admire the way she decided to surprise us all!
